On Friday(January 23,2026), Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched four new trains, including the Amrit Bharat Express, from Thiruvananthapuram.

These trains are set to enhance rail connectivity in Kerala.

By offering better amenities, enhanced safety features, and a more comfortable ride at reasonable prices.

New Trains For Kerala

1)Thiruvananthapuram Central-Tambaram Amrit Bharat Express

2)Thiruvananthapuram North-Charlapalli Amrit Bharat Express

3)Nagercoil Jn-Mangaluru Jn Amrit Bharat Express

4)Thrisur-Guruvayur passenger train.

Thiruvananthapuram Central-Tambaram Amrit Bharat Express

The Thiruvananthapuram Central-Tambaram Amrit Bharat Express is scheduled to leave Thiruvananthapuram Central at 10:45 hrs and will reach Tambaram at 00:30 hrs.

This train will connect key locations like Tirunelveli, Kovilpatti, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Tiruchchirappalli, and Vriddhachalam, among others.

It will operate as train number 06122.

Thiruvananthapuram-Charlapalli Amrit Bharat Express

For its inaugural journey today, train number 06308.

The Thiruvananthapuram-Charlapalli Amrit Bharat Express, will depart from Thiruvananthapuram Central at 10:45 hrs and is expected to arrive at Charlapalli at 16:30 hrs the next day.

This train will pass through significant stops including Kollam, Chengannur, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Thrissur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Salem, Jolarpettai, Renigunta, Nellore, Tenali, Guntur, and Nalgonda, among others.

Nagercoil-Mangaluru Amrit Bharat Express

Today marks the first journey of train number 06329.

The Nagercoil-Mangaluru Amrit Bharat Express, which will leave Thiruvananthapuram Central at 10:45 hrs and arrive in Mangaluru at 01:00 hrs.

This train will pass through key railway stations including Thiruvananthapuram Central, Kollam, Chengannur, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Thrissur, Shoranur, Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasaragod, among others.

Thrissur-Guruvayur Passenger Train

The train number – 06315. It will depart from Thrissur at 10:45 hrs and reach Guruvayur by 11:21 hrs, making a stop at Punkunnam along the way.

This train aims to offer a convenient and budget-friendly travel option for daily commuters, students, and devotees, thereby enhancing the local economy and promoting religious tourism.
