Whenever we spot a gorgeous flower, our instinct is usually to take a whiff. Did you know that some of these stunning flowers can actually be deadly?

Lily Of The Valley

These beautiful, bell-shaped flowers are frequently used in weddings and are well-known for their delightful scent.

Nevertheless, with more than 38 cardiac glycosides, these lovely blooms are powerful.Even a little bit can mess with your heart function, causing vomiting, seizures, a slowed heartbeat, and in some cases, fatal poisoning.

Daffodil

These cheery trumpet-shaped flowers are either white or yellow and have a mildly sweet scent.

Be careful –  their bulbs, stems, and leaves have lycorine alkaloids.

Consuming them can lead to intense vomiting, diarrhea, seizures, and heart issues, and just touching the bulbs might cause skin irritation.

Foxglove

This stunning flower grows as tall, tubular spikes in shades of purple, pink, or white.

Eating any part of it can lead to nausea, headaches, tremors, vision issues, and potentially fatal heart failure.

Azalea

The scent of these vivid clusters of pink, orange, or white flowers is mildly sweet.

Their fragrance is packed with grayanotoxins, making them quite dangerous.

Getting too close can lead to drooling, vomiting, low blood pressure, paralysis, and even coma.

The honey is made from their nectar, often referred to as mad honey.

It can have disorienting and possibly harmful effects.
