On Day 2, Barbora Krejcikova, the 2024 women’s champion, will take the court first against Alexandra Eala.

In the U.S. – You can catch it on ESPN/ABC (live coverage) and Tennis Channel (for match replays).

A year back, Krejcikova overcame Jasmine Paolini with a score of 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 in the final, securing her second Grand Slam title and her first at the All England Club.

Alcaraz defeated seven time Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic with a score of 6-2, 6-2, 7-6 (4), marking his second consecutive win at this grass court major beating Djokovic each time and bringing his total Slam titles to four, which he has now increased to five at just 22 years old.

Aryna Sabalenka holds the top seed among women, while Jannik Sinner is the top seed for men. Both are ranked No. 1, and the tournament seedings which were made public on Thursday align with the WTA and ATP rankings. In the women’s category, French Open champion Coco Gauff is ranked No. 2, Jessica Pegula is No. 3, and Paolini is No. 4. On the men’s side, Alcaraz is No. 2, Alexander Zverev is No. 3, and Jack Draper is No. 4.

According to BetMGM Sportsbook, Sabalenka and Alcaraz are the top money line favorites to snag the singles trophies. Sabalenka is sitting at +275, with the 2022 champ Elena Rybakina following at +550, and Gauff coming in third at +800. Alcaraz is listed at +115, leading Sinner at +190 and Djokovic at +650.

Sabalenka kicks off the Day 1 schedule on No. 1 Court at 1 p.m. local time (8 a.m. ET) against Carson Branstine, a 24 year old from California who plays for Canada and helped Texas A&M clinch the 2024 NCAA women’s championship. Other players hitting the courts on Monday include 3 time major finalist Alexander Zverev taking on Arthur Rinderknech at Centre Court, 2021 U.S. Open champ Emma Raducanu facing Mingge Xu in an all British clash on No. 1 Court, and 2021 U.S. Open winner Daniil Medvedev, 2025 Australian Open champ Madison Keys, 2024 Wimbledon runner up Jasmine Paolini, and 2024 U.S. Open runner up Taylor Fritz, all competing on No. 2 Court.

Gauff is set to go up against Dayana Yastremska, a semifinalist from the 2024 Australian Open, in the first round. That match is scheduled for Tuesday, when all the women in the bottom half of their bracket will be in action.

Wimbledon takes place outdoors on grass courts at the All England Club located in southwest London; both Centre Court and No. 1 Court have retractable roofs. Women compete in best-of-three-set matches, using a first-to-10 tiebreaker if they reach 6-all in the third set; men, on the other hand, play best-of-five sets with a tiebreaker at 6-all in the fifth set. Unlike the other three major tennis tournaments  the U.S. Open, Australian Open, and French Open. Wimbledon doesn’t have night sessions. It has an 11 p.m. curfew. Additionally, this is the last Grand Slam event that spans 14 days of competition; later this year, the U.S. Open will become a 15-day event, starting on a Sunday instead of a Monday.
