Lando Norris from McLaren is kicking off the Belgian Grand Prix from pole position, aiming to extend his winning streak and enhance his chances for the  F1 title against his teammate Oscar Piastri.

Norris is looking to clinch three Grand Prix races consecutively for the first time in his F1 career, building on an emotional home win at the British Grand Prix earlier this month.

Piastri secured the second spot on the grid Saturday, just shy of a tenth of a second behind Norris, while Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc came in third and defending champion Max Verstappen took fourth place for Red Bull.

After Saturday’s sprint race in Belgium, Piastri is ahead of Norris in the standings by nine points. Verstappen managed to fend off both McLarens to clinch the sprint victory, with Piastri finishing in second and Norris in third.
