India had declared after putting up a huge first innings score of 518 for five.

West Indies managed to reach 217 for 8 by lunch on day three of the second Test against India on Sunday (October 12, 2025).

Starting from their overnight score of 140/4, the West Indies batters faced tough times against the Indian spinners, losing four wickets in the first session.

Kuldeep Yadav (4/72) was the standout bowler of the day, taking three wickets, including those of well set batters Shai Hope (36) and Tevin Imlach (21).

The West Indies are still behind India by 301 runs.
