Diwali, also known as Deepawali or the Festival of Lights, is one of the most celebrated Hindu festivals.

The festival spans five days, starting with Dhanteras and ending with Bhai Dooj.

Diwali itself being celebrated over two days: Chhoti Diwali, or Naraka Chaturdashi, and Badi Diwali, known as Diwali.

The Amavasya will kick off on October 20, 2025, at 3:44 PM and wrap up on October 21, 2025, at 5:54 PM.

It signifies the new moon phase, which is a significant time for spiritual activities and offerings.

The auspicious Lakshmi Puja Muhurta on Amavasya will take place from 7:21 PM to 8:19 PM, with the Pradosh period occurring between 5:51 PM and 8:19 PM.

It’s a perfect time for rituals and prayers, as mentioned in the Drik Panchang.
