Realme has released its most recent software version, Realme UI 7.0, which is based on Android 16.

Realme’s next flagship device, the Realme GT 8 Pro, will come pre-installed with Realme UI 7 based on Android 16, but other users will need to wait a bit longer for it to reach their devices.
You can check which phones will receive the open beta update before the year wraps up.
If your device qualifies for the Android 16 update and isn’t listed, it’s likely that the update will be available in the first quarter of 2026.
Features
Realme UI 7.0 features a completely new design language called “Light Glass Design,” which introduces transparency, depth, and glass-like textures to the user interface.
Realme UI 7.0 also offers smoother animations, new dynamic themes, and enhanced home screen customization options.
You’ll also notice a new icon style named Ice Cube Icons that replaces the flat icons, along with a fresh Breathing Dock that adds a background to the docked apps.
Realme has revamped the control center, launched a new adaptive dark mode, improved the icon layout, and added new effects for the lock screen.
Plus, you can now set live photos and videos as wallpapers, thanks to Realme’s Flux Theme 2.0.
Additionally, the update introduces desktop-style windowing (floating apps), automatically grouped notifications, and some exclusive Android 16 security features like scam-call detection, online threat blocking, and enhanced permission controls.
Similar to HyperOS and OriginOS 6, Realme is enhancing compatibility with Apple devices. This means that users of Realme UI 7.0 will have the ability to connect their devices to an Apple Watch.
Additionally, Realme has launched a new feature named AI Notify Brief, which automatically provides a summary of your notifications, along with AI Framing Master to enhance the photography experience.
For gamers, the company has introduced an AI gaming coach that can assist players by analyzing their gameplay and providing valuable insights.
