Pakistan put up a total of about 190 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs.
Although Pakistan seemed set to surpass the 200-run mark, a dramatic collapse – losing five wickets in just 10 balls – prevented them from reaching that target.
Shadley van Schalkwyk stood out as the top bowler for the USA, ending with remarkable figures of 4/25, bringing his tournament total to eight wickets.
The USA got off to a strong start during the powerplay while chasing a target of 191 runs.
However, the USA’s run chase came to a standstill when Shadab joined Nawaz in tightening the screws.
In the six overs following the powerplay, they only managed to score 29 runs while losing two wickets.
For the USA, Shubham Ranjane scores 51 runs off 30 balls.
He played well to score his fifty; later, the victory was already out of reach by that time.
USA could manage to score 158/8 in their 20 overs.
