The USA delivered a strong all-round performance, scoring big and taking key wickets to restrict Namibia, leading to a comfortable victory.

USA and Namibia faced off in the ICC Men’s World Cup 2026 on Sunday (February 15, 2026), at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Earlier, the USA won the toss and chose to bat first.

Batting first, USA opener Monank Patel had a standout performance, smashing 52 runs off 30 balls before getting out.

Shayan Jahangir also played a solid role, scoring 22 runs off 18 balls, helping to stabilize the innings in the early overs.

Saiteja Mukkamalla scores 17 runs off 18 balls, playing a part in maintaining the team’s momentum.

Sanjay Krishnamurthi (not out) hit the second-fastest fifty for the United States.

He was on fire, racking up 68 runs off just 33 balls, giving the innings a significant boost during the middle overs.

Milind Kumar (not out) added to the excitement with a quick 23 runs off 13 balls towards the end of the innings.

Namibia took a few wickets, but they couldn’t stop the USA from scoring a big total.

The USA put up an impressive score of 199/4 in just 20 overs, marking one of their highest T20 totals ever, and setting Namibia a challenging target close to 200.

Chasing 200, Namibia opener Louren Steenkamp smashes 58 runs off 39 balls before getting out.

Jan Frylinck scores 19 runs off 15 balls, while Loftie-Eaton scores 28 runs off 17 balls.

Smit scores 31 runs off 23 balls. Most of Namibia’s batters didn’t make significant contributions in this chase.

Namibia struggled in their run chase against the USA and they  failed to build partnerships or score big runs.

USA bowlers kept the pressure on Namibia in the middle overs and took important wickets, which helped them restrict their chase to 168/6 (20 overs).
