India opener KL Rahul continued his impressive form by scoring a fantastic 11th Test century against the West Indies at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Friday(October 3,2025).

It marking his first hundred in this format at home after a long wait of 3,211 days.

Starting from his overnight score of 53, Rahul smoothly reached his century in 190 balls as India raced past 200 in reply to the Windies’ 162 in their first innings.

At 33 years old, Rahul has kicked off the home season on a strong note.

His previous Test hundred was back in December 2016 against England in Chennai, where he achieved his career best score of 199.

He scored his first First Class hundred in India since the 2016 Chennai Test, making an unbeaten 176 in a thrilling 412-run chase against Australia A at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.

The Karnataka batsman now boasts 10 Test centuries as an opener for India, surpassing the nine centuries recorded by former India captain Rohit Sharma and current head coach Gautam Gambhir.

Only Sunil Gavaskar (33), Virender Sehwag (22), and Murali Vijay (12) have more hundreds as Test openers for India.
