Gautami Naik’s impressive 73 helped Royal Challengers Bengaluru clinch a 61-run victory over Gujarat Giants, ensuring RCB’s unbeaten streak and securing their first playoff spot in the Women’s Premier League.

Royal Challengers Bangalore faced off against Gujarat Giants  at the BCA Stadium Kotambi in Vadodara on Monday(January 19,2026).

After being put to bat, RCB faced early pressure but Gautami Naik changed the game with a steady 73. Her performance helped RCB reach 178 for 6 in their 20 overs.

Richa added some late momentum with 27 runs, but Naik was the real star of the innings. Her 73 off 55 balls came to an end in the 18th over when Ashleigh Gardner bowled her out.

By that point, she had already set a strong base for Radha Yadav and Shreyanka Patil to finish the innings well, as RCB scored 40 runs in the last three overs to reach a formidable total of 178 for six.

On the other hand, The Giants struggled during their chase, only managing to score 117 for 8, with captain Ashleigh Gardner being the only one to put up a fight.

RCB’s bowlers were sharp and disciplined, with Sayali Satghare taking 3 wickets and dismantling Gujarat’s top order.
