The Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings have yet to win the IPL championship.

On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, the Indian Premier League (IPL) will crown a new champion following the eagerly anticipated final between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). The IPL has never been won by either team.

Over the course of the 18 IPL tournaments, seven clubs have won the trophy, including the now-defunct Deccan Chargers. When the league started in 2008, two teams Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants were not included in the competition.

In 2009, 2011, and 2016, RCB made it to the IPL final three times, but each time they left without taking home a trophy. However, for the first time in eleven years, Punjab secured a place in the championship game. Punjab advanced to the final in 2014 but lost to the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), the ultimate champions.
