Miracle Survivor

Only one passenger, Ramesh Vishwakarma, managed to survive the tragic Air India plane crash today by leaping from the flight. He was in seat 11A.

According to Aerolopa, which is an online database of airplane seating arrangements, seat 11A on Air India’s Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners is situated in the first row of the Economy class section. This window seat is on the right side of the aircraft and is positioned two rows in front of the wings.

Vishwash and his brother Ajay Kumar Ramesh (45) were on their way back to the UK after a brief family visit to India and a trip to Diu. Even though they were in separate rows, only Vishwash has been found so far.

“Just thirty seconds after we took off, there was this huge bang and then the plane went down. It all went down so fast,” Vishwash recounted from his hospital bed (The Civil Hospital  in Asarwa).

“When I woke up, I found bodies everywhere. It freaked me out. I got to my feet and took off running. There were bits of the plane scattered all around. Then someone caught me and put me in an ambulance, taking me to the hospital”, he remembered.

Holding onto his boarding pass, Vishwash mentioned that he had injuries to his chest, eyes, and feet, but what really troubles him is the thought of his brother who is still missing.

“We travelled together. I can’t seem to locate him. Can you help me track him down?”, he begged.
