Vijay Sundar Prashanth teamed up with Sergio Gorens to defeat Alexandru Jecan and Bogdan Pavel with scores of 2-6, 7-5, [10-8] in the doubles final at the €145,250 Challenger tennis tournament held in Poznan, Poland.
Vijay, at 38 years old, just snagged his 28th career doubles title, and it’s his second this season after winning in Pune with Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan.
On the other hand, Sergio, who is 30, celebrated his 37th doubles title overall and his first of the season.

The winning duo earned 100 ATP points and €7,220. Meanwhile, the second place team took home 60 points and €4,180.
In the $30,000 ITF women’s tournament in Wichita, USA, Sahaja Yamalapalli battled hard in the semifinals but lost to Fiona Crawley from the USA in three sets.
