The Maharashtra’s state is gearing up to welcome its 12th Vande Bharat train, set to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 10. This new semi high speed train will be run and maintained by the Central Railway (CR) zone.
Maharashtra’s latest Vande Bharat Express will operate between Ajni (Nagpur) and Pune. Both Nagpur and Pune are rapidly growing mega cities that host a variety of small and medium industries, educational and medical facilities, as well as historical sites and tourist attractions.
The Ajni (Nagpur) – Pune Vande Bharat Express is set to be the longest Vande Bharat train in India, traveling a total of 881 kilometers. It will also be the first of its kind to connect the areas of Wardha – Akola- Shegaon – Bhusaval – Jalgaon – Manmad, as well as the stretch between Puntamba and Daund.
Additionally, it will hold the title of the fastest train between Nagpur and Pune, reaching speeds of 73 km/h and making 10 stops along the way.
The Vande Bharat Express between Pune and Ajni will operate as train number 26101/26102. It’s set to start its regular service from Pine station on August 11 and from Ajni station on August 12. This train will run six days a week.
The launch of the Vande Bharat Train service connecting Ajni (Nagpur) and Pune is set to greatly benefit many passengers looking to travel between these two cities and the towns along the way for work, business, education, and tourism.
This service will be advantageous for businesspeople, students, and employees who travel regularly or go on special trips, and it will also boost tourism while enhancing trade and commerce opportunities.
