India’s G. Sathiyan took down Japan’s top seed Ryoichi Yoshiyama with scores of 11-4, 11-6, and 12-10 in the final, clinching the men’s singles title at the World Table Tennis Feeder event in Vientiane, Laos, on Friday.

This marks Sathiyan’s second Feeder title and his fifth overall senior title.

The ex-National champion, who is currently ranked 99th globally, mentioned his intention to participate in additional Feeder Series along with several Contender and Star Contender events to reach the top 50 in the world by the season’s end.

“I plan to compete in Contender and Star Contender tournaments as we approach the 2026 Asian Games”, the 32 year old remarked.
