BCCI has announced a prize of ₹21 crore for the Indian team and support staff who won the Asia Cup.

“I’ve made the decision to give my match fees from this tournament to aid our Armed Forces and the families of those impacted by the Pahalgam terror attack. You are always in my thoughts. Jai Hind”,Indian Captain Suryakumar Yadav shared on ‘X’ following the thrilling victory.

Suryakumar Yadav, the captain of India, remarked that it’s the winning team that gets remembered, not the trophy, as he commented on his team not being awarded the Asia Cup after declining to accept the top prize from the Asian Cricket Council chief and Pakistan’s interior minister, Mohsin Naqvi.

“I’ve never witnessed anything like this before – a winning team not receiving the trophy. But for me, my players and support staff are the true trophies”, Suryakumar expressed during the post match press conference.
