Toymaker Mattel is teaming up with OpenAI to try out the ChatGPT creator’s AI video model Sora 2, as OpenAI CEO Sam Altman mentioned during the company’s Developer Day conference on Monday.
“Mattel has been an awesome partner collaborating with us to test Sora 2 in the API and explore how they can quickly bring product ideas to life. Now, one of their designers can kick things off with a sketch and transform these initial concepts into something visual that can be shared and reacted to”, Altman stated.
Sam Altman has some pretty ambitious and pricey goals, even for Silicon Valley, which has raised a few eyebrows among tech investors who are worried that AI investments could be a bubble.
Monday’s announcements are just the latest in a series of updates from OpenAI, which ignited the current AI revolution with the debut of ChatGPT around three years ago.
