Australia triumphed over India in the first match of the three-match ODI series held at Perth Stadium on October 19.

Batting first, India managed to put up 136 runs for nine wickets after the match was shortened to a 26-over-a-side format due to rain interruptions, with the visitors in a tough spot at 52 for four in 16.4 overs.

Wicketkeeper Josh Philippe also played a key role, contributing a quick 37 runs off 29 balls to help steer the game in Australia’s favor.
