The announcement of Hyderabad as a new southern stop for Lionel Messi’s eagerly anticipated “GOAT Tour to India 2025” has only increased the excitement, guaranteeing that local supporters won’t be “deprived” of the opportunity to see their hero following the cancellation of Argentina’s scheduled friendly in Kerala.

The choice to include Hyderabad follows the cancellation of Argentina’s friendly match that was supposed to take place in Kochi, which had initially been announced by Kerala Sports Minister V. Abdurahiman for November 17.

Messi’s “GOAT Tour” will now travel to all four regions of India, including Kolkata in the east, Hyderabad in the south, Mumbai in the west, and New Delhi in the north.

It will be one of the biggest athletic events the nation has ever hosted.

The South should definitely get a chance to see Messi, so folks from down there can head to Hyderabad to catch him live.

Ticket sales for the Hyderabad event will kick off in about a week.

It’s all set to go and will take place either in Gachibowli or at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

Messi is expected to arrive around midnight on December 12 or in the early hours of December 13.

He’ll be flying from Miami to Dubai, where he plans to rest for a day or two. After that, he’ll head to Kolkata on a private jet.

The Argentine legend, who last came to India in 2011 for a friendly match against Venezuela, will be accompanied by his longtime pals and teammates Luis Suarez and Rodrigo De Paul, both of whom have confirmed they will join the tour.

The match in Kerala was postponed to the next FIFA window because of delays in getting the necessary approvals, which caused public disappointment and some political issues.

The cancellation in Kochi has left fans in Kerala feeling let down.But,the Hyderabad event will highlight the enthusiasm of South Indian fans.

Ticket sales have seen an overwhelming response across different venues.

In Mumbai, all 28,000 seats at Wankhede Stadium, priced from ₹6,980, are already sold out, according to the ticketing site district.in.

Kolkata’s stadium, which holds 68,000, is almost at full capacity, with tickets starting at ₹4,366, while in New Delhi, the Arun Jaitley Stadium, which can hold 28,000 fans, has prices starting at ₹7,670.
