Starlink has announced the pricing for its residential satellite internet service in India on their official site.

The monthly fee of Rs. 8,600 covers unlimited data, a 30-day trial, and a weather-resistant service that promises over 99.9% uptime.

Additionally, there’s a hardware installation fee of Rs. 34,000.

The website hasn’t disclosed the pricing for its business plan in the country yet.

Earlier this July, India’s space regulator approved Starlink’s license to start commercial operations.

The company, led by Elon Musk, had been waiting since 2022 for full permissions.

The government has yet to clarify whether the satellite spectrum will be allocated to these companies or if there will be an auction.

After securing the spectrum, Starlink needs to establish ground infrastructure and perform security tests and trials.

In October, the business started doing security tests and technical demos.
