Samsung has rolled out the One UI 8.5 beta program for Galaxy S25 series users in India, as well as in Germany, Korea, Poland, the UK, and the U.S., starting December 8.

Galaxy users can sign up for the beta program through the Samsung Members app.

This new version of One UI 8.5 boasts improved cross-device actions, enhanced device management, and better security.

Photos

The updated Photo Assist in One UI 8.5 makes it easy for users to create new images.

They can continuously edit photos using the features of Photo Assist without having to save each version. Once they’re done, they can look back at all their edits in the history and choose their favorites to keep.

Quick Share

Quick Share will now identify people in photos and will suggest sending them directly to those contacts.

Audio

Audio Broadcast will allow users to communicate with nearby LE Audio-supported devices using Auracast.

Streaming audio from media sources, users can also broadcast their voice through their Galaxy phone’s built-in microphone.

Storage Share will display files from other Galaxy devices, including tablets and PCs, right in the My Files app.

It also lets users access their phone’s files from other Samsung devices, including their TV.

One UI 8.5 includes Theft Protection to safeguard phones and their data in case of loss or theft.

Failed Authentication

Additionally, the Failed Authentication Lock feature will automatically lock the screen after too many unsuccessful attempts to verify identity using fingerprint, PIN, or password.
