With this feature, WhatsApp can still detect when a message is opened, regardless of read-receipt settings.
Once opened, a 15-minute auto-delete timer starts automatically.
This ensures messages are removed promptly while maintaining user privacy without relying on blue ticks.
WhatsApp currently offers disappearing messages with timers of 24 hours, 7 days, and 90 days.
While useful for regular conversations, these options may not suit situations where faster message deletion is needed.
