The Headphone (1), Nothing’s inaugural pair of over-ear headphones, created in partnership with the British audio brand KEF, gives me that same vibe. These headphones have a classic, understated, and refined look, reminiscent of a Swiss luxury watch, while still incorporating some modern touches.

These headphones have so many awesome features that they totally outshine the few downsides.

Nothing Headphone (1) – Price (Rs 21,999)

When it comes to headphones, It usually fall into two categories: either they’re way too complicated or they’re just too basic, often just to catch people’s eyes. It’s not like the Headphone (1) is trying to kick off a new trend. Instead, the brand seems to be in its own little world, a positive one, where it makes products that really connect with a specific type of user.

The Headphone (1) was its vintage inspired design that really gives off a strong sense of value. Trends come and go in cycles, but vintage inspired designs never really fade away.

Choosing this particular style feels both nostalgic and modern at the same time. These headphones are beautifully crafted, made with great attention to detail and skill.

Each ear cup has a rounded rectangular aluminum frame with a transparent, oval-shaped pod on the outside just like a cassette tape. The headband is made of grey plastic with a black cushion in the center and features silent telescoping arms that connect to the plastic pod on each ear cup through a black, S-shaped metal bracket. Plus, the ear cushions are oil resistant and provide comfy memory foam that molds to people head while blocking out outside noise.

Nothing has put any physical controls on these over ear headphones. Nothing has completely removed touch controls on the Headphone (1) and replaced them with physical ones that are really well designed.

There’s a real on/off switch, a clickable roller button for changing the volume and switching between noise-canceling modes, and a paddle button that lets you skip tracks forward and backward. Plus, there’s a circular button on the outer part of the right aluminum frame that activates your voice assistant.

A power switch, a status LED, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm jack are all found on the bottom edge of the right aluminum frame. Each ear cup has slits for three microphones as well. Clean sound, but not mind-blowing.

The audio is enjoyable. It’s rich and well balanced, featuring clear vocals, but it doesn’t quite reach that high-end, pristine sound quality.

The noise cancelling feature is outstanding, They effectively block out the surroundings. The transparency mode is just as impressive.

The battery life is quite good for over ear noise cancelling headphones. A quick 5 minute charge gives you 2.4 hours of battery life with ANC on, which is pretty good.

The Headphone (1) offers a top-notch listening experience, boasting high-end features that are now common in many over ear headphones.
