Mahindra has strengthened its foothold in the competitive C segment SUV market by launching three new petrol variants named ‘REVX’ – the REVX M, REVX M(O), and the REVX A.

These new models in the XUV 3XO lineup are designed to fill the void between the entry level and higher spec variants, providing a more feature packed option at affordable prices.

Positioning is crucial here. The REVX M and M(O) are placed between the MX2 and MX2 Pro trims, while the REVX A sits just below the AX5 L, effectively broadening the product range with minimal overlap. The plan is straightforward to offer finely segmented choices that cater to various buyer expectations from budget friendly essentials to performance focused sophistication.

Powertrain options stay true to Mahindra’s modular strategy. The REVX M and M(O) come with the 1.2-litre mStallion TCMPFi engine, generating 82 kW (110 bhp) and 200 Nm of torque. Designed for smooth, linear delivery, it’s perfect for city driving and occasional intercity trips.

REVX A takes a significant step up with the more advanced 1.2-litre mStallion TGDi engine, which produces 96 kW (130 bhp) and 230 Nm of torque. This engine, available with both manual and automatic transmissions, makes the 3XO a much more responsive and refined ride – a difference that won’t be missed by discerning drivers.

The design and visual identity get some significant upgrades. The REVX A stands out with its unique body-colored gunmetal grille, shiny black R16 alloy wheels, a contrasting dual tone roof, and subtle ‘REVX’ branding on the C pillar – all these elements give it a premium and more unique vibe. The turn indicators integrated into the ORVMs and Bi LED projector headlamps boost its safety features and road presence.

On the other hand, REVX M and M(O) keep a consistent look throughout the lineup. They come with steel wheels covered in black, but both versions feature LED DRLs across the front, a dual-tone roof, and the same body-colored grille – a smart choice that prevents a bare-bones look even in the lower trims.

Inside, Mahindra has made sure that the quality of materials and car technology are up to par. REVX A includes black leatherette seats, a dual tone interior design, and two 26.03 cm HD screens – one for infotainment and the other as a digital driver’s display. The Adrenox Connect system is standard on this model, offering a range of connected features like built in Alexa, online navigation, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay meeting the expectations of modern users in this segment.

Safety remains a key feature throughout the lineup. Each of the three REVX models comes equipped with six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) that includes Hill Hold, and disc brakes on all four wheels – all as standard features. However, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) are exclusive to the higher AX trims, which helps to clearly distinguish the top tier of the range.

The XUV 3XO has already shown its market potential, having sold over 100,000 units in just 11 months since its launch. With the new REVX variants, Mahindra is enhancing the product’s attractiveness by offering a more refined value proposition – one that addresses diverse customer needs while still upholding the brand’s premium image.
