Droopy eyelids don’t just give you a lazy look. They can also have a big impact on your vision. This issue can affect one or both of your upper eyelids, and it might be more pronounced in one eye compared to the other. Sometimes, droopy eyelids are there from birth, which is referred to as congenital ptosis.

The reasons behind droopy eyelids can vary from being tired to having a family history or even underlying neurological issues. Even surgeries like LASIK or cataract operations might lead to ptosis.

It happens because of an abnormality in how the levator palpebrae superioris muscle and its tendons work to keep the eyelid in place.

Eliminate Droopy Eyelids

Some folks think that facial exercises or massages might make the skin sag or stretch, but if you do them right, they can actually boost collagen production and improve blood flow, helping your skin stay healthy.

Plus, they help relieve tension in the facial muscles, which can hinder circulation and mess with the position and shape of our facial features.

Warmup and Massage

  • Begin with a light cleanse and warm compresses to boost circulation and flexibility.
  • Gently massage the eyelids to get the muscles ready for some exercise.

Direct Stimulation

  • Focus on moving your eyes and activating those tiny eyelid muscles.

Resistance Workout

  • Lift your eyebrows and put a finger under them.
  • Keep them raised for a few seconds while you attempt to close your eyes. This gives you resistance similar to weight lifting.
  • Fast, forceful blinks and rolling your eyes also work out your eyelid muscles.

Trataka Yogic Eye Exercise

  • Keep your eyes locked on a particular object without looking away.
  • This exercise, aimed at improving overall eye health, might also help with eyelid movement.
