Google has revealed that its AI tool, Gemini, can now create illustrated storybooks in different styles. It can transform text prompts, essays, uploaded images, drawings, and more into short books for kids.

The company showed off some cool examples of how media can be turned into AI-generated Storybooks.

For example, a mom’s resume could be turned into a coloring book for her little kids. This way, they can learn about her job through a fun story and an art project.

Google also mentioned that using vacation photos, kids’ artwork, and real-life situations could help make storybooks for children more personalized. Plus, the AI model can read the stories out loud too.

“Just share any story you can think of, and Gemini will whip up a one of a kind 10 page book complete with custom illustrations and audio. If you want a more personal touch, you can even have Gemini draw from your own photos and files.Make your ideas come alive in any style you can dream of – whether it’s pixel art, comics, claymation, crochet, or even coloring books, all in over 45 languages”, Google mentioned in a blog post on Tuesday (August 5, 2025).

You can check out the new illustrated storybook feature in the Gemini app. It’s available worldwide on both desktop and mobile, and supports all the languages that Gemini does, according to the blog post.
