India vs SA 2nd T20:South Africa Defeated India

In the 2nd T20 match between India and South Africa at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur(December 11,2025), South Africa came out on top, bowling India out for 162 while defending a target of 214, securing a victory by 51 runs.

India chose to bowl first, de Kock gave South Africa a solid start.

He formed a 38-run partnership with Reeza Hendricks and later added a vital 83-run partnership with captain Aiden Markram, during which he reached his fifty.

Gill went out for a golden duck right in the first over, and then Abhishek followed suit, getting out to a stunning outswinger from Marco Jansen in the second over.

The Proteas’ bowlers quickly put India on the back foot, reducing them to 32/3 during the powerplay.

The home team struggled to keep pace with the rising required run rate, ultimately getting bowled out for 162 in 19.1 overs.

Tilak Varma fought hard for India, scoring 62 runs off 34 balls.

Ottneil Baartman was the standout bowler, taking 4 wickets for just 24 runs, with Marco Jansen backing him up by claiming 2 wickets to break down India’s chase.

South Africa beat India by 51 runs in the second T20s, tying the five-match series at 1-1 in Mullanpur on Thursday(December 11,2025).
