New features for ChatGPT corporate users, such as connectors and a meeting recording function, have been introduced by OpenAI. DropBox, Sharepoint, OneDrive, Google Drive, and Box can all be connected to ChatGPT so that users may search for specific material without ever leaving ChatGPT.

For example,The Box connector enables researchers to rapidly extract quarterly sales data from Box-stored spreadsheets or PDFs. With citations, ChatGPT will organize and display the contents from those papers in an understandable manner while respecting your organization’s current user-level rights, the business announced.

One of the productivity suites’ most important features is now the ability to record and transcribe meetings. The feature has the ability to recommend actions and produce notes with time-stamped citations. Similar to how they can query papers and files throughout the connected services, users will be able to check their meeting notes for information. Action items can also be turned into Canvas documents, which are OpenAI’s writing and coding project tool.

ClickUp, Zoom, and, more recently, Notion are competitors of the feature, having all included transcription and meeting summarizing capabilities in their applications.

Furthermore, HubSpot, Linear, and a few Microsoft and Google applications now have deep research connectors available in beta. According to OpenAI, Deep study now allows users to create comprehensive study reports by combining online information with data and expertise from these sources. All paid users have access to connectors, according to OpenAI.

Additionally, MCP (model context protocol) allows users to connect to additional tools for in-depth investigation. The business stated that Pro, Team, and Enterprise users will have access to MCP support.

These new features show that OpenAI wants companies to use ChatGPT even more in their corporate workspaces than they may currently be. Here, the business has a good chance of success. OpenAI has an early advantage over other businesses attempting to provide AI-powered office tools with research and analysis capabilities, such as Notion and Lux Capital-backed Context.

Up from the 2 million OpenAI COO Brad Lightcap revealed in February, the company now has three million subscribers to its enterprise-focused offerings.
