Vivo is getting ready to launch its second foldable phone, the X Fold 5, along with the X200 FE edition on July 14 in India. The Vivo X Fold 5 is set to compete with Samsung’s recently launched Galaxy Z Fold 7, while the X200 FE will provide a budget friendly way to enjoy the features of Vivo’s X series.
The Vivo X Fold 5 says it’s 9.2 mm thick when folded and 4.3 mm when opened. It also boasts a weight of 217 grams.
The phone boasts a display with a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. It probably has a 6.5-inch cover display and a main display that exceeds 8 inches, featuring a 120 Hz refresh rate.
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has confirmed that the X Fold 5 will come with a 6,000 mAh battery and an 80 W charger. Additionally, it supports 40 W wireless charging.
The X Fold 5 is set to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, likely paired with up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.
The Vivo X Fold 5 features a 50 MP VCS bionic main camera, a 50 MP ZEISS telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and an impressive 100x HyperZoom, plus a 50 MP ultrawide lens.
Additionally, the Vivo X Fold 5 will come with a new tactile Shortcut button for quick access to essential tools. It will include Gemini Assistant with Google and an AI imaging suite, featuring tools like AI Image Expander, AI Magic Move, AI Erase, and AI Reflection Erase.
The Vivo X200 FE is set to come with a 6.31-inch display that boasts a brightness of 4,500 nits and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
It will pack a 6,500 mAh battery and support 90 W charging. Plus, it will have Shield Glass with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water protection.
The Vivo X200 FE will be powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 9300+ processor, offering up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. It will run on Funtouch OS.
The X200 FE is set to feature a 50 MP ZEISS tele photo camera that provides up to 100x zoom, along with a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultrawide lens.
The X200 FE will be available in Amber Yellow, Forest Blue, and Luxe Grey.
