Apple is getting ready to launch the iPhone 17 series at its “Awe Dropping” event on September 9.

If you’re considering upgrading to the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, or the iPhone 17 Pro Max – from the camera to the design.

Design

The most significant change coming to the iPhone 17 series is the design.

The standard iPhone 17 is likely to keep the same look as its predecessor, insiders and dummy models of the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max indicate that Apple is opting for a large rectangular camera island this time around.

Display

iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro will feature a 6.3-inch XDR OLED display, while the iPhone 17 Pro Max is anticipated to sport a larger 6.9-inch XDR OLED screen.

On the other hand, the standard iPhone 17 is set to receive a significant upgrade.

Apple is finally introducing ProMotion support for the iPhone 17, but it’s still uncertain whether it will include Always on Display.

Camera

The standard iPhone 17 will pretty much feature the same camera configuration as last year’s model – a 48MP main sensor and a 12MP ultrawide lens.

However, there’s buzz that Apple is swapping out the 12MP telephoto lens for a 48MP sensor on both the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Battery

iPhone 17 series should outlast its predecessors. Regarding charging speed, the iPhone 17 series is likely to charge at the same rate as the current models, which means the peak charging speed should hover around 25W.

On top of that, the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max are anticipated to feature reverse wired charging, enabling users to power up their accessories like AirPods while on the move.
