Karwa Chauth is a significant Hindu festival celebrated in North India, honoring the bond of marriage. It’s also called Karak Chaturthi.

On this day, the wife fasts all day without food or water, wishing for her husband’s long and healthy life.

She breaks her fast after seeing and making an offering to the moon.

Karwa Chauth fast is quite strict, requiring participants to abstain from all food and even water from sunrise until they see the moon at night.
