Australia decisively achieved a 159-run victory against the West Indies in the first Test on Friday (June 27, 2025),with Nathan Lyon cleaning up the tail after Josh Hazlewood’s impressive five-wicket performance shattered the hosts’ defense on a pitch that turned into a bowler’s dream.
Lyon took the last two wickets in back-to-back balls, wrapping up Shamar Joseph’s exciting innings at 44 off only 22 deliveries, as the West Indies were bowled out for 141 while chasing a tough target of 301, giving Australia a 1-0 lead in the series.
