Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to make a splash in the Indian market with the introduction of three SUVs in 2025-26.

As the largest automaker in the country, it’s well known worldwide for its affordable compact hatchbacks and sedans, but in recent years, it has been shifting its attention towards SUVs.

Additionally, the company has plans to create a new lineup of hybrid vehicles specifically for the Indian market.

The three upcoming Maruti SUVs set to launch in 2025-26 in India.

1) Maruti e-Vitara

Recently, PM Narendra Modi launched the first unit of the e-Vitara from the assembly line in Hansalpur, Gujarat.

While the initial units are set aside for export, domestic sales are expected to kick off in the first quarter of 2026.

The Maruti e-Vitara, which is the brand’s first all electric SUV, was presented at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo in New Delhi.

The e-Vitara, built on the Heartect-e platform, will feature a bunch of premium goodies like 18-inch alloy wheels, LED projector headlamps, a sunroof, a 10-way power adjustable driver seat, a 10.1-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch central touchscreen infotainment system,7 airbags, and Level 2 ADAS, among other things.

It’ll come with two battery pack choices of 49 kWh and 61 kWh, offering a driving range of over 500 km on a single charge with the larger one.

2)Maruti Fronx Hybrid

Maruti Suzuki is set to roll out the 2026 Fronx facelift by mid-next year in India.

This will be the first Maruti vehicle featuring the brand’s own Series Hybrid system.

The 2026 Maruti Fronx hybrid will be powered by a 1.2L 3-cylinder Z12E petrol engine paired with a 1.5-2 kWh battery and electric motors.

Known internally as Maruti YTB, the series hybrid technology in the 2026 Fronx is expected to boost its mileage to over 35 kmph.

Maruti Suzuki’s latest HEV series hybrid powertrain is significantly more affordable compared to Toyota’s Atkinson strong hybrid system found in models such as the Grand Vitara and HyRyder.

In this configuration, the petrol engine acts as a generator, creating electricity for the electric motor that drives the wheels.

We can expect to see the HEV powertrain in various upcoming products from Maruti, including the new generation Swift and Baleno.

3) Maruti Escudo/Victoris

Maruti Suzuki is set to unveil a new Midsize SUV on September 3 in India.

While the official name is still under wraps, some media sources suggest it might be called ‘Escudo’ or ‘Victoris’.

This model aims to be a mass market option, packed with features and offered at an affordable price, and it will be available at Arena dealerships nationwide.

It’s been found out that the new Maruti Midsize SUV will be longer than the Grand Vitara and will share the robust hybrid powertrain with it.

Additionally, it will feature a 1.5L mild hybrid engine setup, and retrofitted CNG kits will also be available.

We can look forward to both manual and automatic transmission options with this SUV.

The price for the upcoming Maruti Midsize SUV might begin at Rs 10 lakh.
