A travel influencer who never needs a passport and never takes a vacation has been created by a media company.Radhika Subramaniam is a bilingual AI-generated personality who speaks Tamil and English, according to Collective Artists Network.Radhika is India’s first virtual travel influencer, created to traverse the country and share cultural and identity-based stories.

Concentrate Gen Z And Cultural Stories

Radhika comes after Kavya, who is an AI influencer aimed at millennials and shares high-end, aspirational content. On the other hand, Radhika is portrayed as a solo traveler embodying Gen Z ideals, with a narrative that involves quitting a stable corporate job to explore India.

The creator is looking to strengthen the bond with the audience.

Talking about the new virtual personality, Vijay Subramaniam, the Founder and Group CEO of Collective Artists Network, mentioned, “Radhika seems like that friend we all have, the one who dared to take the plunge and actually went on the adventure. She’s considerate, self-sufficient, and curious about her surroundings. With her, our goal was to develop more than just a different type of influencer. We aimed to craft someone who could share heartfelt stories and help people feel acknowledged”.

An AI travel influencer is a digital personality crafted with the help of artificial intelligence technologies like generative design, machine learning, and natural language processing.These virtual beings come with unique personalities, backgrounds, and ways of communicating, enabling them to share posts on social media, engage with followers, and advertise places or products similar to human influencers. AI influencers can be customized for various audiences and are constantly ready to generate steady content without the constraints of the real world.

In 2023, Germany rolled out a similar avatar.

India isn’t the only country diving into this area. The German National Tourist Board unveiled Emma, an AI generated travel ambassador aimed at boosting tourism in Germany. Emma is depicted as a young, eager traveler who speaks 20 languages, including English with a British accent. She was introduced via a video campaign and is referred to as “innovative, interactive brand ambassador” meant to connect with global audiences online.

She is not real human. She is AI.

The company highlights that Radhika’s storytelling skills make her stand out in the influencer world. Sudeep Subhash, the Chief Revenue Officer at Collective Artists Network and CEO of Big Bang Social, mentioned, “Radhika has a genuine warmth that’s tough to replicate. She doesn’t just churn out trends or chase vitality. She truly understands the context. For brands, that’s invaluable. You have someone who’s consistently aligned with your voice and is also authentically engaging for the audience. That level of storytelling on a large scale is incredibly exciting”.
