1)Bosco the dog – Sunol, California

Bosco, a black Labrador, was given the utmost respect as a genuine leader.

He participated in parades, public events, and held the title of mayor for more than 13 years(1981–1994).

2)Mayor Tyson the Chicken – Rabbit Hash, Kentucky

Tyson the Chicken won over the locals when he became mayor in 2012.

Rabbit Hash is known for its unusual elections, where animals compete for office.

In keeping with the town’s quirky tradition, Lincoln’s election was more than just a playful gimmick.

Lincoln won over the hearts of the locals, demonstrating that leadership can take many forms, sizes, and even species.It happened in 2016.

4)Duke the dog – Cormorant, North Dakota

In the peaceful little town of Cormorant, the locals humorously chose a Great Pyrenees named Duke as their honorary mayor and the concept really took off.

Duke showed up at town gatherings, posed for cute photos.

Duke became the symbol of the community.

His presence served as a reminder that leadership doesn’t always need to be serious – sometimes it’s all about sharing joy. It happened in 2014.

5)Stubbs the cat – Talkeetna, Alaska

Stubbs, a ginger tabby, started out as a PR gimmick but quickly turned into a real celebrity.

With a special chair in the town council, Stubbs held the position for twenty years, attracting visitors from around the globe.

Its chill vibe became a representation of tranquility in the midst of political chaos.

Stubbs even had official business cards of its own. The period was 1997–2017.
